ACU_HudgellMaster Sergeant Hudgell is the Chief of Training for the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence Noncommissioned Officer Academy at Fort Leonard Wood Missouri. Prior to his selection for the Chief of Training he held the CBRN BNCOC First Sergeant position, Master Sergeant Hudgell has also served as the 82nd Chemical Reconnaissance Detachment Sergeant, and the 10th Special Forces Group NBC NCO,  Ft Carson, Colorado.

Master Sergeant Hudgell is a native Council Bluffs, Iowa.  He entered the Army in April of 1987.  He attended Basic Training at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina, Advanced Individual Training at Ft. McClellan, Alabama and Airborne School at Ft. Benning, Georgia.

Master Sergeant Hudgell has served in various leadership and staff positions as the Detachment Sergeant for the 82nd Chemical Reconnaissance Detachment and Group NBC NCO, 10th Special Forces Group (ABN), Ft. Carson, Colorado; Division Chemical Operations NCO, 82nd Airborne Division, Ft. Bragg, NC; Platoon Sergeant , 1st Platoon, 21st Chemical Co. 82nd Airborne Division, Ft. Bragg, NC; Brigade NBC NCO 319th FA, 82nd Airborne Division, Ft. Bragg, NC, Battalion NBC NCO 2-319th FA, 82nd Airborne Division, Ft. Bragg, NC; Battalion NBC NCO 5-5 ADA, Camp Stanley, Korea; HHC NBC NCO and Jumpmaster Instructor, 7th Special Forces Group (ABN), Ft. Bragg, NC; Inspector General NCO, 82nd Airborne Division Chemical Section, Ft. Bragg, NC; NBC NCO, Johnston Atoll 

Master Sergeant Hudgell’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star; Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2 OLC), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (4 OLC), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (5 OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal (6th AWD), National Defense Service Medal (2nd AWD), Korean Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal (2 BSS), Kuwaiti Liberation Medal (Saudi Arabia), Kuwaiti Liberation Medal (Kuwait), Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary and Service Medals, Noncommissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbon (NUM 3) and three overseas service bars. His Unit awards include the Valorous Unit Award and the Joint Meritorious Unit Award. He also has earned the Master Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge and the Australian Parachutist Badge.  Master Sergeant Hudgell has also been awarded “The Order of the Dragon” the highest award for the Chemical Corps, and “The Order of Saint Barbara” from the 319th FA, 82nd Airborne Division.  

He is a graduate of Warrior Leader Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course, USASMA Battle Staff Course, First Sergeant Course, Master Fitness Course, 82nd Airborne Division Jumpmaster Course, and the 101st Airborne Division Air Assault  Course. He also holds an Associate Degree form the University of Central Texas. 

Master Sergeant Hudgell is married and they have one daughter.
