Chem decon: Train as they fight

Oriez GUIDON staff If the Soldiers going through training with the 84th Chemical Battalion ever need to use their new skills in a real-world scenario they are going to have to be able to work together. Those who will be conducting decontamination operations will need to know how to serve the Fox vehicles used for reconnaissance and their assigned crews, and the crews will need to know what to expect if they should ever need to be decontaminated.

H1N1, seasonal flu vaccine programs gears up

When the H1N1 vaccine starts trickling into Pulaski County and Fort Leonard Wood, it will not be in quantities expected, which is prodding General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital to be flexible in its immunization plans.
“There is no projected shortage of vaccine; however, the amount needed to vaccinate the entire population will not be available all at once,” said Bruce Russell, GLWACH Preventive Medicine Division. “The vaccine will be evenly distributed across the United States, Missouri and Pulaski County.”
