Our Mission:

To provide complete personnel services support to all Initial Entry Level (IET) Soldiers in Basic Combat Training (BCT), Advanced Individual Training (AIT) and office, and Officer and NCOs in a student status at the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence Fort Leonard Wood Missouri. Support applies to Active Army (RA), US Army Reserve (USAR), and Army National Guard (ARNG) enlisted personnel who are assigned or attached to Fort Leonard Wood.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER WHEN VISITING THE TRANSITION TEAM
All ARNG and USAR Soldiers and Officers will sign their Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty (DD Form 214) prior to being released from active duty (REFRAD) back to their parent unit.
Units must set up an appointment to out process when the class loads.
Soldiers must have a Common Access Card (CAC) with a working pin in order to sign their DD Form 214
All Discharges are processed by The Transition Team to include medical discharges and separation chapters for all trainees at Fort Leonard Wood.
Soldiers will be discharged within five business days of receipt of their discharge packets, except in the case of medical boards that can take up to a year to complete.
The Trainee Student Team also manages Hometown Recruiter Assistance Program, publishes confinement orders, PCS and  MOS orders for IET Soldiers.



IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER WHEN VISITING THE IN-PROCESSING OR
OUT-PROCESSING TEAM
All Soldiers and Officers visiting Fort Leonard Wood for training MUST in process through their unit.
Soldiers going overseas MUST have a Jet Briefing at least three weeks prior to departure. (Please contact your Operation/Drill Sergeant to set up an appointment)
Married Soldiers MUST apply for passports for their family members if they are also going overseas. (Please contact the Travel Office 573-596-0131 ext. 6-1276)
RA IET/AIT Soldiers going overseas Must attend the out processing brief prior to departing the installation.
