Appropriated Funded Positions

"What you need to do"

people applying for a jobThe process for applying for a job on Fort Leonard Wood is all done via the Internet. The first thing all "Appropriated Funds" applicants must do is prepare and/or upload their resume to USA Jobs. To get started you must "Create a Profile" or "Sign In". Here you will see the Resume Builder/Upload Tool.

After you have created your resume, you are ready to start your job search and apply online. USA Jobs is the primary job search database for all Appropriated Fund and Non-Appropriated Fund positions.

When you see a job announced for which you want to be considered you must apply during the time frame listed on the announcement. The easiest way to apply for a job is to click on “Apply” toward the end of the job announcement. You must make sure you apply before eleven o’clock Central time, or your resume will not be considered.

Personnel evaluates the qualifications of applicants who self nominated, using the resume you submitted to identify the best-qualified candidates. The personnel then provide selecting officials a referral list of the best qualified candidates from which to select. Once the supervisor makes his/her selection, we make a tentative job offer to the person selected by telephone. After information is collected and verified (Qualifications such as Appointment Eligibility, Veteran Preference, and etc) personnel with call the selectee with a firm offer. If information cannot be verified, no firm job offer will be made.

You can ensure your application is active and track the status of your job considerations through the Applicant Notification System, available on the USA Jobs and sign in. Application status is viewable from your homepage once signed in.
