Brigadier General Michael T. Harvey is a native of Piney Flats, Tennessee. He received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, Tennessee in 1991 and his commission as a Second Lieutenant in the Ordnance Corps. Additionally, Harvey earned a Masters of Business Administration from Upper Iowa University in 2002; a Masters in National Security and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval War College in 2011; and the ASI of 3H, Joint Planner, upon completion of the Advanced Joint Professional Military Education Course in 2013.
