RCWO Jesse S. Deberry

Chief Warrant Officer Deberry, entered the United States Army on June 24 1998. He attended and completed basic training and AIT at Fort McClellan, Alabama as a 54B Chemical Operations Specialist. His first duty assignment was Fort Bragg North Carolina 101ST Chemical Company where he served as a squad leader within a multipurpose DECON and Smoke PLT from 1998-2002.

In 2002, then Sgt. Deberry was assigned to HMEDDAC in Heidelberg Germany where he served as medical activity CBRN NCO and NCOIC of a Patient DECON Platoon. In 2005, he was DA selected to become a US Army Drill Sergeant. After graduating the US Army Drill Sergeant School in Ft. Jackson South Carolina, he was assigned to B 1/13 INF BN Fort Jackson SC where he served until 2007.

In 2007 he was assigned to the 501ST Sustainment BDE, Camp Carrol Korea where he served as the SDBE CBRN NCOIC. In 2008, he was assigned to the 82ND Airborne Division where he served as the 82ND ABN Division Force Protection NCOIC. In 2011, then Sgt. 1st Class Deberry was selected to become one of the first CBRN Warrant Officers. He attended the Warrant Officer Candidate School at Fort Rucker, Alabama in April 2011. Upon graduation from the Warrant Officer CBRN Basic Course (CBRN Technician, MOS 740A) he was assigned to the 1-62 ADA BN where he served as the Battalion CBRN Technician from 2011-2014. In 2014 he was assigned to the 2-319TH AFAR, Fort Bragg NC as the BN CBRN Technician. In 2015, Chief Deberry was assigned to the 82ND ABN DIV where he served as the 82nd ABN DIV CBRN Technician. CW2 Deberry currently serves as the Regimental Chief Warrant Officer of the United States Army CBRN School, Fort Leonard Wood Missouri.

CW2 Deberry’ s deployments include: Bahrain with 101ST Chemical Company, Afghanistan with 82ND ABN DIV DSTB, Jordan and United Arab Emirates with 1-62 ADA BN.

CW2 Deberry earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Homeland Security from the University of Maryland and a Masters of Arts in Acquisition and Procurement Management with a certification in Government Contracting from Webster University. CW2 Deberry’ s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, 3 X Meritorious Service Medal, 6 X Army Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, 5 X Army Achievement Medal, Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Wings and Drill Sergeant Badge.
