CW2 Deberry, enlisted into the United States Army on June 24 1998. He attended and completed basic training and Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort McClellan, Alabama as a 54B Chemical Operations Specialist. He commissioned as a 740A Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear (CBRN) Warrant Officer in 2011. His military education includes the Warrant Officer Candidate School (WOCS), CBRN Warrant Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, and How the Army Runs Course-Army Force Management School. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Homeland Security Management from the University Of Maryland and Masters’ in Acquisition and Procurement Management with a certification in Government Contracting from Webster University.

Throughout his career Chief Warrant Officer 2 Deberry has held a variety of assignments to include: squad leader of a multipurpose Decontamination and Smoke Platoon, 101st Chemical Company, Fort Bragg, North Carolina (1998-2002); CBRN NCO and NCOIC of a Mass Casualty Decon Platoon, Heidelberg Medical Activity (HMEDDAC), Heidelberg, Germany (2002-2005); Drill Sergeant, B 1/13 INF BN; Fort Jackson, South Carolina (2005-2007); CBRN NCOIC, 501st Sustainment BDE, Camp Carroll, Korea (2007-2009); Division Force Protection NCOIC, 82nd ABN DIV, Fort Bragg, North Carolina (2009-2011); Battalion CBRN Technician and TCS Crew Chief, 1-62 ADA BN, Fort Hood, Texas (2011-2014); Battalion CBRN Technician, 2-319th ABN Field Artillery Battalion, Fort Bragg North Carolina (2014-2015); Division CBRN Technician, 82ND ABN Division Fort Bragg, North Carolina (2015-2016). Chief Warrant Officer 2 Deberry currently serves as the Corps Chief Warrant Officer of the United States Army Chemical Corps.

His deployments include: Bahrain with 101st Chemical Company, Afghanistan with 82nd ABN DIV DSTB, Jordan and United Arab Emirates with 1-62 ADA BN.

Chief Warrant 2 Deberry’ s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, 4 X Meritorious Service Medal, 6 X Army Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, 5 X Army Achievement Medal, Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Wings and Drill Sergeant Badge.
