LTC Steven B. McGunegle

     LTC Steven B. McGunegle received his commission as an Armor officer in 1999 from the United States Military Academy. He is a graduate of the Armor Officer Basic Course and Engineer Advance Course, U.S. Army Air Assault School, Scout Leaders Course and the Command and General Staff College.

     LTC McGunegle’s previous assignments include: Tank and Scout Platoon Leader, Troop Executive Officer and Assistant S-3, 1-3 ACR (Fort Carson, CO); Deputy Chief of Operations( HQ, 2ID, Republic of Korea), Troop Commander, C/4-7 CAV (2ID, Republic of Korea); Assistant Professor, Department of Geography and Environmental Engineering at the USMA (West Point, NY); Squadron S3 and XO, 6-9 Cavalry (3d BDE, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, TX) Bradley Staff Synchronization Officer and Maneuver Team Chief (Force Development Directorate, HQDA G-8, Pentagon). LTC McGunegle has deployments to Iraq and Egypt.

     LTC McGunegle’s awards include, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal and Air Assault Wings.
