Graduates of the Military Police Investigator Course are qualified to perform duties as Military Police Investigators.  Military Police Investigator candidates are trained in the areas of Criminal Law;  Crime Scene Processing; Testimonial Evidence; Investigations of Crimes Against Persons and Property; Physical Evidence; Drug Investigations; Investigative Report Writing; Special Investigative Techniques and Protective Services.

1.  LIMITED PSDfunctions available. Please make sure you:

  • Procure enough PCS/TAD per diem to cover the duration of your school and your travel to the next duty station.  The per diem rate for Fort Leonard Wood is listed below:  Max lodging is $78/day, M&IE is $46/day.

  • *Due to recent privatization of Army Lodging, Fort Leonard Wood is now considered an Army installation without government quarters.  Additionally, CNA's will no longer be issued.*

  • Procure advanced POV mileage all the way to your next duty station, if needed.

  • Procure all travel arrangements (flights, rental car reservations/POV shipment).

  • Procure appropriate passport, tourist or no fee government passport. in advanced (For yourself and dependents)

2. Physical Fitness uniform required

MPI COURSE:  Personnel reporting for Military Police Investigations (MPI) course need to physically check-in to the Navy Detachment, Bldg 1750 by the second day of class.  The Navy Detachment is located on Cooley Ave.  You will need to bring your orders, hotel name, and POV registration. PCS members are not authorized rental cars.  Request must go through admin upon reporting to training.

WHERE TO REPORT FOR CLASS:  Bldg # 3203, Classroom # 2702 (1st Ave. and Nebraska Ave.) by 0700 in the uniform of the day, BDU/CUU/NWU/ACU.

 

AVAILABILITY OF TRANSPORTATION

    NOTE: "C" School student berthing, messing, administrative and school facilities are "NOT" in close proximity to one another and its is recommended that POV or car rental authorization is included on orders. Transportation will be the responsibility of the student. PCS members must request a rental car through admin upon reporting to training....y.

  • Greyhound bus has a terminal just outside of the post in the city of St. Robert to serve patrons arriving and departing. Taxi service to Fort Leonard Wood from the St. Louis airport is noMPI School House Link

    NAVY RESERVISTS ON ADT ORDERS

Students reporting from Navy Reserve Centers MUST have the following documentation in order to be enrolled and to be PAID:

  • ADT orders
  • Page 2(Dependent Data) must be verified in NSIPs prior to arrival.
  • UNIFORMS

     

  • WINTER: The winter period runs from the first Monday in November until the first Monday in May. The prescribed uniforms during the winter period will be BDU's, NWU's, or ACU's.
  • SUMMER: The summer period runs from the first Monday in May until the first Monday in November, the prescribed uniforms during the summer period will be BDU's, NWU's, or ACU's.

NOTE: Availability of Navy uniform articles is very limited at the Fort Leonard Wood Post Exchange.

PURPOSE:
To qualify selected persons as military investigators in areas of concern to military police or Navy equivalent duties.
SCOPE:
Academic instruction is provided in the subjects of investigative skills, military law, crime lab support, physical evidence, testimonial evidence, investigating drug offenses, reporting, special operations and supplementary examinations.
PREREQUISITES:
OTHER=Must be assigned to or ordered to duties requiring training in military investigations.

Students reporting for instruction must meet the Physical Readiness Program standards IAW OPNAVINST 6110.1 series (body fat). Students failing to meet this requirement will be dropped from the course.
