MicroDEM ver 5.12 Download

This is the latest  Terrain Evaluation and Visualization software in the TerraBase II / MicroDEM series.  New functionality has been added, previous functions have been improved yet the basic interface remains the same. 

If you are a user of an earlier version of TerraBase II or MicroDEM  you may find the menus have changed for some of the legacy functions but we think you will be pleased with this new version. See the built-in MicroDEM HELP or the new 183 page User's Guide for information on changes, educational materials or instruction on how to perform specific operations.

The beta for version 6.0 incorporates the ability to read the new sample Shuttle Radar Mission (SRTM99) data sets currently under evaluation and slated for release of full world coverage by 2004. Note: When sending bug reports  please attach both the tb2debug.txt file and the error.txt file to your email. The tb2debug.txt file is automatically  generated and overwritten every time you run MicroDEM. The error.txt file is generated by selecting HELP / BUG REPORT at the main menu. Send reports to Web Master. Please provide a complete description of the data sets and methods you were using to perform a specific function.

and no longer memory limited.
13. 3D merge of DEM reflectance with scanned maps.
14. Display of DTSS Digital Overlay Provider (DTSSOP) products.

Known problems

1. Some problems exist with OpenGL. See the help file for details.

User's Guide for MicroDEM 5.1

The User's Guide for MicroDEM 5.1 is already included in the installation file. You can find the User's Guide by selecting START / PROGRAMS/ MICRODEM VER 5. You will need to have Adobe Reader installed on you computer to be able to view the portable document file (PDF).
