 Quarterly UPH Survey

Bona-fide Single Soldiers in the grade of E-1 to E-5 must report to their assigned units for issue of a barracks room on post. Do not sign a lease or make other arrangements for housing until you have checked in with your gaining unit. Unit integrity in the barracks is maintained to the greatest extent practical.

If you arrive after duty hours or on a weekend, transit (temporary lodging) rooms for incoming soldiers may be available from your unit. If for some reason they do not have transit space available service members can be reimbursed for temporary lodging expenses but must have a paid receipt from the provider (hotel/motel). If a service member arrives with no funds available, a pay advance is one option that may be pursued.

Sponsors (E-1 to E-5)

Sponsors E-1 to E-5 (single, unaccompanied Service Members with legally supported family members), will be housed on a space available basis without a request for exception. They are subject to a 30 day notice of eviction in the event the quarters are required for a bona fide single Service Member.

Unaccompanied personnel in the grade of E-6 to E-9 and Officers MUST reside off post.

Geographical bachelors

Geographical Bachelors (married Soldiers without accompaniment of family members) are not authorized UEPH. Per AR 420-1, table 3-7, geographical bachelors are a category IV for UEPH which is a space available basis and requires an approved request for exception. Geographical bachelors E-1 to E-5 may be housed on a space available basis with a request for exception processed through their chain of command. Geographical bachelors are not entitled to regulatory space allowances and are subject to a 30 day notice of eviction in the event the quarters are required for a higher priority Service Member.

Example of Exception to Policy Memo is available online. Please see appropriate button above.

Activated/Mobilized Reservist Housing

Effective 1 August 2009, government leased quarters will not be available for Service Members in a Temporary Change of Station (TCS) status on Fort Leonard Wood. The Lodging Services Success Program (LSP) for TCS is mandatory for all Service Members on active duty orders for greater than 180 days when government quarters are not available. LSP may be contacted at 1-866-363-5771. Service Members activated/mobilized for less than 180 days should report to the Fort Leonard Wood Lodging Office located in building 470, 1-800-677-8356, and/or Lodging Services Success for housing.
